The competition for the consumer award “KitchenInnovation of the Year®” covers the following
Product categories:

- Kitchen sinks and taps
- Large electrical appliances
- Small electrical appliances
- Cookware and bakeware
- Kitchen utensils
- Kitchen accessories
- Other
Criteria:
A consumer-friendly product is one which doesn’t just excel in one area, but offers above-average performances across the board. Products are judged according to the following criteria:
- Functionality / user-convenience
- Degree of innovation
- Product benefit
- Design
- Material quality
- Ergonomy
- Ecology / sustainability
Further criteria are considered if necessary according to product performance.
